Saturday Snapshots #170

Light and shade, South Koster Island, October 2011

On a recent trip to West Sweden, I spent a morning walking around the peacefully car-free South Koster Island, which was ablaze with Autumn colours.  Even though you may take a hundred photos of Autumn leaves, there is always one that ends up being the perfect shot – and on that day, this was as close to perfection as I got. Easy to get carried away taking autumnal shots, but getting the essence via the rich colours is damn tricky (hence I’ve not taken many!). Here though, with that perfect back light, I think you might have pulled it off! 😉
