Post image for Saturday Snapshots #148

Vatican pillars – Rome, May 2007

I love the textures and perspectives in this shot, taken in the collonnade that fans out either side of St Peter’s basilica in the Vatican.  And with a bit of luck, this weekend I might be the one caught in a tourist’s viewfinder as I stroll among these pillars again

This is part of a series of non-food photographs that will be published every Saturday on CookSister – previously featured  photographs can be viewed on the Saturday Snapshots compendium pages.  Photos featured in Saturday Snapshots are available to buy as high-quality greeting cards or prints in my RedBubble store, or even as gorgeous A3-size 2011 CookSister calendars for foodies, for London-loversItalophiles or beach lovers

If you want a custom calendar with your own selection of photos, starting in a month other than January, please e-mail me and we can discuss your requirements.  They make great gifts, for friends or for yourself.

Oh wow! What a great perspective! I’ve been there numerous times and never seen them like that!
Enjoy your visit to Rome and say hello from me to all those wonderful streets.

Thanks for all your comments! I do love the way that you have to look at this photo twice before you realis what you are looking at :)
