Saturday Snapshots #4

2008 RedLeaf

The shade of things to come, August 2008

Despite the past few days of mild weather, the ornamental cherry tree outside my window seems to be saying "hah, you may be wearing your bikini but a few warm days can't fool me.  I know what's coming..."

This is part of a series of non-food photographs that will be published every Saturday on CookSister. Click here for a full list of photographs previously featured.  If you like this or any other photo featured in Saturday Snapshots, why not buy it as a greeting card or print in my RedBubble store?

Jeanne, I actually not ready saying goodbye to summer. Oh well...

You did it again - another great photo!
PS: My chili plant has gone mad. 2 flowers and 7 more coming!!

LOL! I recently took a photo like this, too. Smart plant. ;-) Wonderful photo.

Your cherry tree is very wise, Jeanne! A beautiful shot.

The strange ways of nature...I love it when leaves begin to change colour. Great shot Jeannie & I'm beginning to love my Saturday dose! It's strange here;when winter approaches we see loads of new leaves & the flowering season begins!! My birds eye chili also flowered wildly, gave me beautiful red chillies. But the blessed chillies caught the nightingale's eye who made a meal of each one of them! Back to nought!! What a life!

Ah, there is no denying it now is there? Autumn is well and truly on the way. What a weekend though! totally unexpected too. I am even using the bbq today!

Beautiful pictures. I'll post you some pictures of my plum blossoms!
