Saturday Snapshots #71

by Jeanne Horak on January 2, 2010 10 Comments in Photography, Saturday Snapshots

Sunrise

Jersey sunrise – January 2009

“It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
For me…
And I’m feeling good”

Muse – Feeling Good

In fact it’s a whole new decade and damn, I’m feeling good!  Here’s wishing all my readers a very happy, healthy and successful 2010! This picture was taken through my friends John & Suzie’s chrismas star in their upstairs window as the sun was rising early last year.  I love the slightly Christmassy, yet slightly mysterious Wicker Man overtones.

Saturday Snapshots is a series of non-food photographs published every Saturday on CookSister. Previously featured photographs can be viewed on the Saturday Snapshots archive pages. Many photos featured in Saturday Snapshots are available to buy as high-quality greeting cards or prints in my RedBubble store, or even as high-quality A3-size calendars. If you want a custom calendar with your own selection of photos, starting with any month (not only January), please e-mail me and we can discuss your requirements.

I’m glad you’ve mentioned The Wicker Man. My first thought was Blair Witch Project!!! Happy New Year if I’ve not said it already… xx

Heppi Heppi to you, too, Jeanne. One of my favourite songs – the Nina Simone version for me 🙂

Sarah – hahahah, yes, I see it now! I think Wicker Man was just fresh in my mind because thy screened the original over Christmas… What a barking mad movie!
Bethany and Marie – aaaah, great minds think alike 🙂 It’s a fabulous song, listened to by fabulous people, like you two!
Thanks so much to everyone else for their new year wishes. May you all have a 2010 filled with contentment, health and much love.
