Crest – Bologna, September 2012

 

This is a detail shot of one of the hundreds of ornate gilded crests lining the walls at the old Bologna University building.  I visited the university, the oldest in Italy, recently and you can read more about my trip here or view more photos here.

I love this shot, Jeanne. :-) Bologna is one of my favorite Italian cities, if not THE favorite. :-)

Superb. A lot of people never take a detailed picture like this or even notice the detail themselves.
