Up where we belong, Vienna August 2007
I spotted these umbrellas on the roof terrace of a swanky building in Vienna, right opposite the spectacular St Stephen's cathedral, and caught myself thinking "why aren't I up there, sipping cafe melange and nibbling on Sachertorte in the sun"? I love the simplicity of the shapes and the gentle curve of the building.

That’s my favourite Viennese restaurant up there … Love it!
one day, when you’re feeling rich, you might want to stay at the hotel, too – you took a picture of the roof terrace of Haas Haus, which on top still has the Do & Co restaurant, but floors underneath have been converted into a hotel. i spent a weekend there in their opening days (when henrik was just 3 months) and not only is the hotel beautifully done up, the location is also unbeatable: right opposite st. stephen’s cathedral, and our room has a balcony giving out onto the gentle madness that unfolds there during the day and evening – brilliant!
Why not, indeed?
For some reason it reminds me of Greece (not that I’ve been to Greece).
Awesome photograph. I wish I could be up there, too! What an awesome looking sun deck.
I love the perspective of this shot!
You have an eye for a good picture. Brilliant!
