Welcome back. I want to hear all about the Germans and Octoberfest. I have never seen a sandwhich on a grill. Sounds tasty.I always belived cooking is one of the few really unifying activities on the planet. No matter what color or nationality we are, we all need to eat.

Same here, how I miss those braai sarnies :)

Capetonian-at-heart

We use to call them 'asem' sandwiches (asem means 'breath' in afrikaans) maybe due to the fact that you had onion breath after eating them) - they are scrummy - better than any 'normal' toasted sandwich!
