Shine a little light – The Pantheon, Rome July 2011

The Pantheon is one of my favourite buildings in the world and one of the oldest in Rome, astonishingly having been built in its current form in the first century AD.  It is still the largest masonry dome in the world. The open oculus at the top absolutely fascinates me and the changing sunlight makes the interior change by the hour.  There is no finer place on earth to marvel at the Roman civilisation.
