Dear Millie

Although you probably don’t know who I am, I know a bit about you through your delighful blog.  I love your sense of humour, your observations about the world and your enthusiasm for life.  I wish you could meet my dad (he’s 83) and explain to him the joy that blogging has brought you – he refuses to even turn on a computer!

I hope that today is a beautiful day for you – sunny weather, loads of friends stopping by and (of course!) a good haul of gifts.  Enjoy the day with the same lust for life with which you celebrate your everyday experiences on your blog.  Be healthy.  Be happy.  And above all, keep on blogging!!

Fondest regards,

[For those of you who don’t know, Millie is one of the oldest bloggers around.  She started her blog at the instigation of her son (hence the name My Mom’s Blog)  and now she’s a seasoned pro.  I came across her blog via Ronni’s wonderful Time Goes By – I love her style and the fact that she is defying all steroetypes.  I hope that when I’m 80 I’m still blogging strong like Millie!]

Thank you so much for such a great post about me. I just love blogging and as I have said many times, it has enriched me life by giving me the opportunity to make many wonderful friends! Show this to your dad and tell him what I said. My life will be pretty dull without it. I would manage to come up with things to do but it would not give me the satisfaction that blogging does.
Loved those party hats!!
