As the more astute among you may have spotted, the title to this post is in a foreign language. What foreign language? German. Why??
Well, because despite the fact that I have still not finished my Parisian posts (well, at least I have started them…), tomorrow morning Nick and I are off to Munich for the Oktoberfest! Four days of beer, sauerkraut, radishes and oompah bands…
So when I get back, you can expect me to add yet another item to my blog “to do” list – hopefully I will have more time in the coming month and you will actually get to read what I have been up to!

Oktoberfest in Munich was the best time that I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was made even more memorable by our encounter the Swedish Billiard team, accompanied by the 82 year old woman. That’s a long story, but I have some great pictures!

Wow – clearly I am but an amateur in the field of Oktoberfest war stories. The Swedish Billiard team and their 82 year old chaperone/mascot/roadie – that will take some beating!! All I saw were loads of Antipodeans and (apparently) most of Italy. But I do have to agree that Oktoberfest is the most fun you can possibly have – it was my second time and I am ready to start planning next year’s trip. So if you’re free and the Swedish Billiard team are on tour again…

Damn right about that!! And boy, did we enjoy… Last year was the first time I went & I was pretty sure I would hate it – I don’t drink beer & I am no longer 18 was my reasoning.
