I must apologise to all readers of this blog. I have not been the most reliable blogger of late and the mountain of "stuff to be blogged about" is now so huge it is threatening to topple over and engulf me completely…
Summer is just not the easiest time to keep up with my blogging commitments – there’s just too much going on. And of course the basic conflict arises out of the fact that you need to do/cook/see/experience/eat stuff in order to have material for the blog. But the more you do/cook/see/experience/eat, the less time you have to blog about it, and so it goes… My "forthcoming attractions" list still includes stuff like:
- my, erm, June trip to South Africa
- an Alsace wine tasting
- a champagne tasting
- various dinners cooked at home
- our trip to Paris last month
- last weekend’s non-stop food – Carluccio’s, Pizza Express, Krispy Kreme and a new Chinese place
And the list is growing all the time…
I do know for a fact that there are two compulsory posts that will (I hope!) make it off that list and onto this blog in the next couple of weeks. One post will be for this weekend’s "Is My Blog Burning?" event, Lift your spirits high. And the other post will be my inagural participation in the Worldwide Wine Blogging Wednesday, a fabulous idea started by Lenndevours. WBW2 will take place on Wednesday 6 October, hosted by Vinography, and the theme is Spanish reds.
So, as if I ever needed an excuse to open up a bottle of wine(!!), early next month I will be choosing a nice Spanish red, breaking out the chorizo, olives and paella and making like they do in Madrid. And I’d love for you to join me! Can you hear the drums (sorry, I meant castanets) Fernando?
